July 19, 2010Live from New York, it’s Saturday night, vidheads! OK, it’s not actually Saturday, it’s Monday. Afternoon, no less. And I’m nowhere near New York. But that’s beside the point. Or is it? Now I’m confused. At any rate, my latest video drug of choice IS from Saturday Night Live – an episode that Jude Law hosted that aired earlier this year but that I rediscovered recently due to SNL’s rerun-run. And yes, it is another Andy Samberg digital short music video from Samberg’s musical trio The Lonely Island. Are you sick of my Andy Samberg clips yet? Well too fargin’ bad! This one features The Strokes-frontman-turned-solo-artist Julian Casablancas. Seems like with every new collaboration Samberg outdoes himself. I literally cannot stop watching this clip. I’m sure I’ve contributed a couple (hundred) views to the YouTube vid’s going-on-seven-million views. So, without further ado…
Ah, my generation, the boombox generation, a simpler time before kids had their newfangled em-pee-three players and cee-dees and decent haircuts. Seriously, what is up with the high-falutin’ boiled goose? And the old people having sex? Fingerless gloves are timeless, though. And doing the Bartman. Not to mention, Julian’s sexy ass. And face. And voice. OK, I have to go watch it again now.
