…or, as our Canadian friends say, “boose”…
May 23, 2010Good evening and welcome to the show, vidheads. If you’ve never seen a little comedy improv sketch show called “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, hosted by Drew Carey and based off the British version of the same name, you are missing out. Many a time I have guffawed (and I do mean guffawed, not giggled in a ladylike fashion) until tears were streaming down my face (not to mention I peed my pants a little). In one of my favorite sketches of all time, and absolutely my favorite “Greatest Hits” sketch, “Songs of the Bus Driver,” Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie try to throw a musical curveball at Wayne Brady but Wayne, being the on-the-spot genius that he is, knocks this hi-fargin-larious sketch outta the park. Note the sweet Michael Jackson moves.
Now I don’t care who ya are, that’s funny right there. Pure improvisational genius. It’s a shame the show isn’t on TV anymore, but catching the reruns on late night ABC Family is good enough for me. The reruns never get old.
