This is how I roll.
March 22, 2010Huggs and bruises, vidheads. As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m a member of the Stillwater, OK roller derby team, the Angels of No Mercy. In light of this weekend’s upcoming bout at the Payne County Expo Center versus Oklahoma City team the Tornado Alley Roller Girls (not to mention our front-page package in the local newspaper), I decided to post a clip of last month’s home bout, “Love Hurts,” versus the Midwest Mayhem from Wichita, Kansas. Props to Stillwaterlive.tv for letting me steal it. 
It shows the team intros (mine is in the black) and clips from a jam (two minute scoring period). My alter ego, Careena Smearnoff (if you’re a “Dancing with the Stars” fan, you’ll get it), number 66 inch, was not in this particular bout, but you can bet your black and blue booty she’ll be playing this weekend.
This weekend’s bout, Saturday March 27, starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6. Advance tickets are one for $10, two for $16. If you’re interested in getting some, hit me up and I’ll hook you up. We need all the support we can get – TARG fans are LOUD.
