We were never alive, and we won’t be born again.
March 10, 2010Thank you , vidheads, good night! I don’t consider myself a music expert by any stretch of the imagination, but to say that I love music would be a gross understatement. I quite literally have a song running through my head 98 percent of the time, beginning from the moment I wake up. As a true blue rock and roll girl at heart, I’ve been fairly disappointed with myself lately, though, as the songs that have been running through my head nonstop are Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance.” At any rate, I decided to cleanse myself of my shameful transgressions of the bubble-gum pop nature and return to my true nu metal roots by posting one of my favorite Slipknot videos. It’s the second single from last year’s “All Hope is Gone,” and it’s actually one of the band’s much milder songs (read: you can actually understand the words to what frontman Corey Taylor is screaming about).
I’ve been to many a concert, but the only time I got knocked out at one was the first time I saw Slipknot about 10 years ago. I took a crowdsurfer’s combat boot to the head and went DOWN. Thankfully, the show was almost over and I didn’t have to miss too much of the band’s set in the first aid room. Ah, memories (or the lack thereof).
